Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what your rights are under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated 27 August 2026.
What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to give us through the contact form on our Contact us page: your name, your email address, an optional subject, and your message. We don't collect anything else automatically: this site has no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no cookies of any kind.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit only to respond to your enquiry, whether that's a general question, an offer to volunteer, or a partnership enquiry. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't sell or share it with third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and to keep a record of the correspondence, and no longer than the law requires.
Where it's stored
Messages sent through the contact form are emailed directly to our organisational inbox, hosted with a South African hosting provider. We don't store submissions in a separate database.
Photographs
Where this site publishes photographs, we take care with images that show identifiable children. Photographs of identifiable learners are only published where we hold written parental or guardian consent for that specific use.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@monawiththechildren.org.za. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to South Africa's Information Regulator.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
